Present progressive
Used to indicate an action in progress at the moment of speaking. The action started in a recent past, continuing at the present and will probably end at some point of time in the future.
Adverb such as right now are used to make emphasis the immediacy of the on going action
Present progressive
Is used to make reference to habitual actions or repeated, but for or over a limited period of time. Temporary action that take place around now, but not at the very moment of speaking.
Adverbs such as these days/ months/ year, etc are essential to denote the meaning
